Description
The Fiber Optic Cable Production Operator sets up, runs, and monitors Cabler, Strander, and Rework Line equipment used to manufacture fiber optic cable. Responsibilities include reading setup sheets, adjusting machines, respooling materials, inspecting products, completing documentation, cleaning equipment, identifying defects, and operating the rework line. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, tool and measuring-device skills, documentation accuracy, teamwork, forklift and hoist operation, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The regular schedule is 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, with some flexibility, overtime availability, and a 44-hour weekly schedule; night and weekend shifts receive a 10% shift differential.
