Description
The Fiber Optic Cable Production Operator sets up, runs, and monitors Cabler, Strander, and Rework Line equipment used to manufacture fiber optic cable. Responsibilities include reading setup sheets, adjusting machines, respooling materials, inspecting products, completing documentation, cleaning equipment, recognizing defects, and operating the rework line. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, tool and measuring-device skills, documentation accuracy, teamwork, forklift and hoist operation, and the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. The regular schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday, with some flexibility, overtime availability, 33 hours per week, and full-time benefits; night and weekend shifts receive a 10% shift differential.
