Description

Price Industries Limited is hiring a Laser Optimization Specialist for its Winnipeg manufacturing facility on a Friday–Monday weekend shift. The role focuses on optimizing laser and CNC fabrication processes, improving quality, throughput, OEE, and material utilization, troubleshooting equipment and production issues, supporting automation and equipment upgrades, analyzing performance data, developing manufacturing standards and training materials, and training operators. A mechanical engineering technology or mechanical engineering background is required, with relevant industry experience potentially accepted in combination; experience with laser/CNC programming, PLCs, HMIs, CAD/CAM, 3D CAD, and Salvagnini or Trumpf equipment is advantageous.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma/program completion or a Mechanical Engineering degree; equivalent relevant education, training, or industry experience may be considered.
Required Previous Experiences: Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience or education.
Experience interpreting machine schematics, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, and engineering drawings.
Preferred Qualifications: Laser and CNC machine programming and operation experience.
PLC, HMI, and machine controls experience.
Salvagnini or Trumpf laser/CNC familiarity.
Mechanical or electrical design experience.
CAD/CAM software proficiency.
Independent work capability and strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
