Description
The Laundry Aide performs laundry and general housekeeping duties in a nursing and rehabilitation center, including sorting and washing soiled linens and clothing, drying and pressing garments, distributing clean items to residents, maintaining equipment and supplies, and supporting sanitation and infection-prevention activities. The role also includes cleaning work areas, responding to emergency housekeeping needs, and coordinating with residents, nurses, physicians, and other staff. A high school diploma or equivalency is preferred, and one year of work experience in a commercial establishment with knowledge of laundry or housekeeping procedures is required.
