The Laundry Sorter/Washer at UHN performs general and specific duties according to department standards and procedures. This involves handling both clean and soiled linen, adjusting linen orders, stocking special requests, washing and drying various washable items, restocking scrub and linen dispensing machines, and following strict infection prevention and control procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role requires physical stamina, basic mathematical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a client-service oriented environment.
