Description

State Street is hiring a Lead AI Engineer for its Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Technology team to lead the end-to-end design, development, production deployment, and support of enterprise generative AI and agentic AI solutions. The role requires hands-on engineering across AI architectures, Python, APIs, microservices, AWS, Databricks, data pipelines, and production systems, while providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers. Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Required Previous Experiences: Five or more years of technology experience, including at least two years focused on generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, or AI platform engineering.
Experience delivering enterprise applications from concept through production.
Hands-on experience developing cloud-native solutions on AWS.
Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, data pipelines, and lakehouse architecture.
Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, containers, infrastructure as code, application security, monitoring, and production support.
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on engineering mindset and ability to architect, build, and troubleshoot production-grade solutions.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
