Description

Rogo is hiring a Lead Android Engineer to build its native Android application from the ground up. The role owns architecture, technology choices, testing, security, performance, observability, release processes, and quality standards, while partnering with product, design, customers, and Customer Success to deliver AI-powered financial workflows. The engineer will also develop reusable foundations, integrate backend services, and help hire and mentor future Android engineers.

Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of professional Android development experience
Building and launching high-quality Android applications
Foundational architecture and technology decisions
Kotlin coroutines, Flow, concurrency, threading, and performance optimization
Reusable, testable components and maintainable application architecture
Integrating with backend services through REST APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, or Server-Sent Events
Deploying Android applications in enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications: Building an Android app or major mobile product from zero to one
