Description
AthenaHealth is hiring a Lead Security Engineer to own the technical direction, implementation, and operation of application security capabilities, with a strong emphasis on API security. The role leads security strategy and SDLC adoption, supports SAST, SCA, DAST, vulnerability management, and CI/CD security controls, and partners with engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, IAM, and enterprise security teams. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of software development experience, three to five years in a security-focused agile development role, and practical experience with Docker, Terraform, authentication protocols, cloud platforms, containers, infrastructure as code, secrets management, and CI/CD. The base salary range is $143,000 to $243,000, with additional incentives and benefits.
