The Lead Backend Engineer (E-Commerce) will lead and develop a backend engineering team, architect scalable PHP, Symfony, and Laravel solutions, optimize MySQL databases and Redis integrations, collaborate with frontend developers, establish CI/CD and Kubernetes/AWS infrastructure, make architecture decisions, and mentor engineers. The role requires a computer science degree or comparable qualification, several years of backend development experience, and knowledge of MySQL, Redis, cloud technologies, agile methods, and technical leadership. Compensation is €85,000–€100,000, with flexible hours and remote-work options in Hamburg or Berlin.
