Stream Data Centers is hiring a Lead Critical Engineering Technician in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, for on-site critical-facility operations from Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with 24/7 emergency coverage as needed. The role leads and performs preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on data center mechanical, electrical, cooling, fire/life-safety, cabling, security, building-management, and digital systems; creates and executes MOPs, EOPs, and maintenance work orders; monitors BMS, power, cooling, and PUE performance; coordinates vendors and contractors; supports RCA/RCCA investigations and emergency response; and trains and mentors junior technicians. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least seven years of critical-facility, engineering, maintenance, or data center experience, strong knowledge of UPS, HVAC, power distribution, cooling, and supporting infrastructure, and familiarity with CMMS, BMS, DCIM, EPMS, safety standards, networking protocols, technical documentation, and Microsoft Office/Adobe applications.
