Description
Theta is hiring an experienced Lead Data Consultant for its Data and Insights Practice in Auckland, New Zealand. The role focuses on leading end-to-end data engineering delivery across Databricks, Azure, and Microsoft Fabric, including scalable pipelines, transformations, data modelling, testing, monitoring, and platform implementation. It also involves technical discovery, stakeholder engagement, solution planning, peer review, mentoring, and contribution to reusable delivery assets. Applicants need at least eight years of data engineering experience, including three or more years with Databricks, advanced SQL, cloud data-platform expertise, CI/CD and DataOps experience, and strong communication and technical leadership skills. The position uses a hybrid model with at least two office days, offers fully subsidised employee medical insurance, and requires applicants to already reside in New Zealand with relevant visas.
