Flagship Pioneering is hiring a Lead Data Engineer to lead complex initiatives that modernize and professionalize its data infrastructure, platforms, and pipelines. The role involves implementing data products and platforms, optimizing data storage and warehouse solutions, building backend and data integration pipelines, establishing engineering standards, improving observability and reliability, troubleshooting failures, and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires at least six years of data engineering experience, strong AWS and Python/SQL expertise, and familiarity with modern data engineering tools and generative AI. The salary range is $128,000 to $176,000, with healthcare coverage, an annual incentive program, retirement benefits, and other benefits.
