Description
Alpaca is hiring a fully remote, individual-contributor Lead, Data Governance to build and operate data governance and data security programs across its lakehouse, analytics tools, and internal data products. The role owns data classification, access controls, entitlement reviews, data quality, inventory, metadata, lineage, vendor reviews, privacy and cross-border data requests, audit evidence, risk tracking, and guardrails for AI and agentic data use. It reports to the Chief Information & Security Officer and collaborates with Data Engineering and Data Science. Candidates need at least five years of relevant experience, modern data-platform experience, knowledge of governance frameworks and financial-services privacy requirements, and audit-support experience.
