Mastercard is hiring a Lead Data Scientist, AI Engineering to lead the design, development, deployment, and evaluation of machine learning solutions across domains such as forecasting, propensity modelling, recommendation systems, behavioural analytics, and customer intelligence. The role combines applied machine learning and foundation-model expertise with technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder communication, and mentorship of data scientists and AI engineers. It requires a bachelor's degree, at least eight years of experience in machine learning, data science, AI, or advanced analytics, and production experience with Python, SQL, and major machine learning frameworks.
