Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is hiring a Lead Design Engineer for the Advanced Sources and Detectors (ASD) Scorpius team. The role leads mechanical engineering design, analysis, fabrication, testing, documentation, project planning, and stakeholder coordination for pulsed-power and mechanical systems, while mentoring junior engineers. It is a full-time on-site career-indefinite position requiring DOE Q-level or Top Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, and significant experience in hardware design, systems engineering, manufacturing, testing, and project management. The SES.4-level salary range is $210,630 to $267,060 annually.
