Coherent Corp. is hiring a Lead Engineer to design and develop high-power indium phosphide-based semiconductor lasers for high-speed data communication applications. The role owns laser design, epitaxy, coating, device simulation, wafer fabrication launches, test protocols, and technical coordination across internal and external teams, while also managing schedules, translating customer requirements, and engaging with vendors. The position requires an MSEE in Electrical Engineering or Physics, 3–5 years of relevant industry experience, and is a full-time on-site role with occasional travel.
