Description
Coherent Corp. is hiring a Lead Engineer to lead the design and development of high-power indium phosphide (InP) semiconductor lasers for high-speed data communication applications. The role owns laser design across grating, epitaxy, and coating; performs device simulation and characterization; launches wafer fabrication; develops testing protocols; coordinates internal teams and external vendors; manages programs, schedules, and milestones; and translates customer requirements into laser specifications. It is a full-time, on-site position with occasional travel and requires an MSEE in Electrical Engineering or Physics, with a PhD preferred, plus 3–5 years of relevant industry experience.
