Aker Systems is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to lead the development and implementation of secure cloud environments for national security and defence clients in the Southwest. The role involves building and deploying cloud infrastructure and applications using CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code, developing test automation, maintaining environments and applications, supporting production incidents, participating in contingency planning, documenting changes, and mentoring the team. Candidates need at least five years of professional experience delivering production-grade cloud solutions, along with experience in DevSecOps, Zero Trust Architecture, AWS and other public or private cloud environments, infrastructure deployment, source control, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud orchestration, containerisation, and distributed event streaming technologies. The position requires enhanced DV Security Clearance and offers medical insurance, life assurance, pension, training and wellbeing allowances, and 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays.
