Description

LSEG is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to provide technical leadership for DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, reliability, security, and cost optimisation supporting LSEG Workspace. The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership, including mentoring engineers, defining standards, supporting production incidents, and participating in on-call and occasional weekend work. Candidates need significant experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and production systems, along with a relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
Required Previous Experiences: Significant professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering
Experience operating and supporting large-scale, business-critical production systems
Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform, preferably AWS or Azure
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including production operation, scaling, resource management, networking, and workload lifecycle management
Experience with Docker and container-based application architectures
Experience with Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code technologies
Experience designing and maintaining modern CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation
Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and defining engineering standards
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting large-scale desktop, web, or distributed application platforms
Experience with Amazon EKS, Azure Kubernetes Service, or similar managed Kubernetes platforms
Experience with Kubernetes autoscaling technologies such as Cluster Autoscaler, Karpenter, or Horizontal Pod Autoscaler
Experience with modern observability platforms and technologies such as OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk
Experience working with large distributed systems and microservice architectures
Experience operating platforms within a highly regulated or financial-services environment
Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost management
Experience improving developer platforms, developer experience, and self-service infrastructure capabilities
