Description

Modulr is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer in Pune, India, to combine hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering with team leadership. The role owns secure, scalable AWS and hybrid environments, CI/CD, GitOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, observability, security, reliability, and incident response, while mentoring engineers, setting technical standards, coordinating delivery, and supporting DevSecOps, SRE, and cloud governance. Candidates need at least 8 years of relevant experience, AWS expertise, cloud and infrastructure-as-code experience, and prior leadership experience.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field
Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing engineers
Hands-on AWS production cloud architecture and operations experience
CI/CD platform experience, preferably GitLab CI, with familiarity with Argo CD, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Production experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing
Cloud networking, identity and access management, secrets management, and security controls
Experience designing highly available systems and disaster-recovery strategies
Experience supporting ISO 27001 and PCI DSS compliance audits
Preferred Qualifications: AWS certifications
Kubernetes certifications
Hybrid or multi-cloud experience
Service mesh, policy-as-code, FinOps, or cloud cost-optimisation experience
SRE practices
Regulated, security-sensitive, or high-availability environment experience
