Description
The Lead Design & Development Engineer will lead the sizing, hardware design, simulation, testing, validation, and certification of low- and medium-voltage variable-speed drives and VFDs. Responsibilities include power electronics design, drive and filter sizing, loss budgets, protection and arc-flash calculations, design documentation, prototype testing, factory and vendor manufacturing support, and FAT coordination. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in power electronics or electrical engineering, at least 10 years of industrial drive design and testing experience, and knowledge of motors and drive control systems; travel may be required and relocation assistance is provided.
