L3Harris is hiring an FPGA Design Engineer – Firmware Lead in Rochester, New York to lead FPGA firmware engineering for Space Mission Systems. The role supports proposal estimation, decomposes system requirements, architects and implements FPGA solutions, leads small engineering teams, establishes firmware development processes, develops HDL and verification environments, performs synthesis, place-and-route, timing analysis, simulation, and circuit-card integration. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and 7 years, or 13 years without a degree, plus the ability to obtain a Federal Secret security clearance. The schedule is 9/80 with every other Friday off, and the New York salary range is $110,500–$205,500.
