Eaton’s ESS PRD Power Reliability Division is hiring a Lead Embedded Software Developer for its Brossard, Quebec office on a hybrid schedule. The role leads embedded software and firmware development for high-performance, real-time control systems and protective relays used in smart-grid applications, including protection algorithms, diagnostics, communication protocols, cybersecurity, and relay control functions. Responsibilities include high-level and system-interface design, integration, testing, code reviews, product development, and mentoring junior developers. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, at least eight years of software development experience including four years in embedded software, C++ and object-oriented programming experience, French and English proficiency, and Canadian work authorization without sponsorship.
