BETA Technologies is hiring a Lead Embedded Software Engineer for Airborne Software to lead and contribute to the specification, architecture, design, implementation, integration, testing, and analysis of safety-critical embedded software for electric aviation systems. The role coordinates with systems, safety, configuration, quality, and airworthiness teams; manages a small engineering team of up to 20 software engineers; mentors junior engineers; and supports certification activities. Candidates need a relevant bachelor’s degree, at least 10 years of real-time embedded software experience for safety-critical systems, and expertise with DO-178C Level A, DO-330, and DO-331. Compensation is $165,000–$185,000 USD, with onsite healthcare in Vermont and additional benefits.
