Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and development of steering-wheel and airbag mechanisms for passenger vehicles, SUVs, and MUVs. The role involves creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in CATIA V5, preparing engineering deliverables, supporting prototypes and vehicle trials, conducting root-cause analysis, and collaborating with global cross-functional teams and customers. The position requires a mechanical or automobile engineering degree, 8–12 years of relevant experience, and expertise in automotive safety systems, sheet-metal and plastic design, PLM, DFMEA, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design reviews.
