Apex Engineering Group is hiring a Lead Engineer in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota to manage municipal engineering projects from planning through design and construction. The role leads engineers, technicians, and support staff; prepares proposals and participates in interviews; coordinates multidisciplinary teams; and performs civil design, specifications, construction administration, observation, and project management. Candidates need a civil engineering bachelor’s degree, a professional engineer license or ability to obtain one within 6–12 months, at least seven years of municipal civil engineering experience, strong project and construction management skills, and the ability to work outdoors during construction season. The position offers a base salary of $95,000–$130,000 plus health, dental, vision, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
