Description
The AES Corporation is hiring a Lead Operations Engineer to support the reliable, safe, and optimized operation of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) fleet. Reporting to the Manager of Technical Services, the role leads reliability and performance engineering efforts, provides technical expertise on BESS safety and regulations, supports troubleshooting and audits, performs root-cause analysis and due diligence, develops maintenance and operating procedures, mentors engineers, and leads projects to improve asset performance while reducing operations and maintenance costs. The role requires advanced engineering education and experience, BESS expertise, data analysis and modeling skills, leadership, communication, and willingness to travel up to 35%.
