Description

Annapurna Labs is hiring a Manufacturing & Datacenter Preparedness Lab Leader in Austin, Texas to establish and lead a preparedness lab that connects Trainium manufacturing with datacenter operational performance. The role will develop assembly and repair recipes, replicate datacenter conditions, analyze field failures, improve manufacturing and design processes, and build a cross-functional team. Candidates need extensive hardware engineering, manufacturing, reliability, and datacenter experience, along with a relevant BS or MS degree. The position offers a base salary of 159,200 to 215,300 USD annually plus sign-on payments, restricted stock units, and comprehensive benefits.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of industry experience in manufacturing, test, quality, reliability, or datacenter infrastructure engineering
7+ years working directly with engineering teams in cross-functional environments
Experience with AI/ML acceleration systems, high-performance computing servers, or complex multi-rack systems
Experience with system mechanical and thermal design for air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems
Experience with root cause analysis methodologies and corrective or preventive actions
Experience working with ODMs, JDMs, component vendors, and internal design teams
Experience with Design for Manufacturing
Experience carrying design concepts through development and deployment or mass production
Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing datacenter operations, facility engineering, advanced high-volume manufacturing, or datacenter build-outs
Knowledge of AWS services
Knowledge of critical datacenter electrical and mechanical systems
Master's degree in a related technical field
Hands-on enterprise hardware, sled, and rack-level design experience
Track record of data-driven process improvements reducing field failures or improving manufacturing yield
Experience with liquid cooling and thermal management for AI/ML workloads
