Description
Wabtec is hiring a Lead Engineer to provide technical ownership of locomotive truck (bogie) subsystems, leading design and development from concept through validation. The role involves requirements analysis, trade studies, dynamic simulation and FEA, subsystem integration, risk mitigation, compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, NPI and reliability programs, testing, root-cause investigations, and cross-functional leadership. The position is primarily office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing, laboratory, customer, and rail-yard sites, and requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, five or more years of relevant experience, and familiarity with rail industry standards.
