AECOM is hiring a Lead Engineer - Mechanical (Underground Hard Rock Mining) in Centurion to lead mechanical engineering work packages for underground copper and gold hard-rock mining projects. The role covers materials-handling and fixed-plant design, conveyor and bulk-solids systems, crushing, conveying, pumping, dewatering, dust management, ventilation interfaces, procurement, construction support, commissioning, and operational readiness. It requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least nine years of relevant experience, professional engineering registration, and experience with conveyor-design software and multidisciplinary EPCM or consulting projects. The position offers a flexible hybrid arrangement requiring office work at least three days per week.
