Description

CACI is hiring a full-time Lead Engineer - Platform to provide technical leadership and architectural direction for an enterprise AI and data analytics platform supporting the Department of Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General. The role covers Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry integration, secure cross-environment connectivity, enterprise data and analytics infrastructure, cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, platform security, FedRAMP and ATO compliance, and coordination with government and cross-functional teams. Candidates need a bachelor's degree plus 15 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience, along with deep Microsoft Azure and federal cloud architecture expertise; the proposed salary range is $114,600-$252,100.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree; equivalent experience may be considered for candidates with a master's degree, no degree, or an associate's degree.
Required Previous Experiences: 15 years of experience in cloud architecture, platform engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
Technical leadership experience architecting and delivering enterprise-scale cloud platforms, AI/ML infrastructure, or data analytics solutions, including leading engineering teams and coordinating cross-functional efforts.
Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, identity, AI services, and platform integration patterns.
Extensive experience designing secure architectures for federal cloud environments, including Azure Government and Azure Commercial, with knowledge of boundary controls, cross-tenant connectivity, and data residency requirements.
Strong background in platform security, identity and access management, API design, microservices architectures, and integration patterns, with the ability to balance innovation with security and compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience architecting AI/ML platforms, LLM-based applications, or RAG architectures with integration between AI services and enterprise data platforms.
Hands-on experience with FedRAMP authorization processes, ATO support, NIST 800-53 control implementation, and compliance in federal environments, including inherited controls and continuous monitoring.
Background in federal government, law enforcement, or national security environments, including mission-driven architectures, sensitive data handling, and coordination with government enterprise IT teams.
