Description
NewOrbit is hiring a Flight Software Engineer to lead the software team responsible for spacecraft control, autonomy, fault tolerance, observability, and flight applications. The role owns the on-board C/C++ or Rust flight-software stack on RTOS or Embedded Linux, integrates subsystems, builds verification infrastructure, and delivers software through CI/CD, launch operations, and over-the-air updates. The position requires at least five years of spacecraft flight-software development and engineering leadership experience, offers hybrid work with one remote day per week, and includes visa sponsorship, relocation support, and private health insurance with dental and optical coverage.
