Description
The Lead Hardware Engineer will independently lead hardware design and development for Coherent’s optical transceiver products, including optical and RF component selection, RF, analogue and digital circuit design and simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis. The role also involves defining digital control requirements, coordinating with firmware, manufacturing, test and other cross-functional teams, participating in design reviews, improving product reliability and manufacturability, and providing technical guidance to customers and colleagues. Candidates need an advanced degree in electrical or computer engineering or a related discipline, two to five years of relevant hardware engineering experience, and proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
