Rainmaker is hiring a Lead Instrumentation Engineer to own the technical development of airborne atmospheric-sensing hardware, with the primary mission of delivering a new cloud-particle imaging instrument for integration on a Rainmaker UAS. The role covers requirements, architecture, design, fabrication, integration, calibration, flight testing, validation, production transition, and long-term instrumentation roadmapping. It is a technical leadership position focused on hands-on hardware development and systems judgment rather than people management, and it requires a relevant engineering degree or equivalent instrument-development ability plus experience delivering complex sensing or scientific hardware.
