Citi is hiring a full-time Lead/Principal Java Spark Developer to lead the architectural vision and technical strategy for transforming and modernizing its next-generation data processing platforms. The role combines strategic leadership with significant hands-on coding, design, implementation, optimization, and mentoring of developers. Candidates need 10+ years of Big Data development experience, expert Java and Apache Spark proficiency, knowledge of financial systems and Funds Transfer Pricing, and experience with distributed systems, APIs, databases, messaging, microservices, containerization, and Agile teams. Databricks and AI-powered solutions are preferred, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
