Description
The Lead Technician coordinates daily laboratory bench operations, overseeing workflow across specimen accessioning, extraction, amplification, and data review; performs and troubleshoots PCR and other routine testing; monitors quality assurance and quality control; manages specimen handoffs and inventory; and trains staff. The role serves as a senior technical and operational leader without primary personnel-management or program-ownership responsibility and may function as a delegated General Supervisor under CLIA requirements. Candidates must meet CLIA high-complexity testing personnel requirements, hold a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and have 2–4 years of clinical laboratory experience, with molecular and PCR experience preferred.
