Description
The Lead Guard supports the day-to-day operation of the YMCA Aquatics Department, supervises lifeguard staff during emergencies, patrols the active natatorium, coordinates breaks and meals, reports sanitation and maintenance issues, assists with training and staff meetings, and helps the Aquatics Director with department needs. The role requires at least 18 years of age, a high school diploma or equivalent, current American Red Cross lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Emergency Oxygen certifications, six months of related aquatic programming experience, customer-service knowledge, and Microsoft Office knowledge. The starting pay is $17.82 per hour.
