Description
The employer is seeking a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer in Västerås to lead the technical design of customized tools and equipment for dismantling and handling in complex industrial environments. The role covers concept development, detailed design, material selection, strength and manufacturability, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and coordination with project management, technicians, and production. Candidates should have mechanical design and manufacturing-oriented design experience, knowledge of materials, strength, and manufacturing methods, and preferably experience in heavy industry, hydraulics, welded structures, or tool design. The position is initially a 12-month consulting engagement with the intention of direct employment, and English is required.
