Description
Loft is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer to serve as a subject-matter expert for spacecraft missions and product development. The role owns mechanical analysis budgets, develops CAD models and engineering drawings, performs structural and thermal analysis, creates test plans and reports, supports spacecraft assembly, integration, and testing, and acts as the mechanical point of contact for suppliers, customers, and subcontractors. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, at least five years of spacecraft mechanical design and structural analysis experience, CAD and FEA expertise, vibration-testing experience, and experience with small-satellite assembly, integration, and testing.
