Description
Royal SMIT Transformers B.V. is hiring a Lead Engineer Mechanical to lead a group of 6–8 mechanical engineers responsible for transformer external components such as tanks, cooling systems, expansion vessels, fans, pumps, and oil circuits. The role provides technical direction, monitors project quality and milestones, supports complex mechanical issues, coordinates with engineering, operations, project management, supply chain, customers, and suppliers, and mentors engineers. Candidates need a higher professional or university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field, extensive engineering, construction, or machine-building experience, knowledge of structural mechanics, strength calculations, and 3D CAD, and Dutch and English communication skills. The position offers a gross salary of €5,000 to €6,700 per month and is based at the company's Nijmegen production facility.
