Deerns is hiring a permanent Lead Mechanical Engineer for its data centre practice, with the office in Thane West, Mumbai, India. The role leads mechanical design and execution for large-scale data centre projects, including HVAC, cooling, fire protection, plumbing, ventilation, and high-density cooling solutions. Responsibilities include thermal load calculations, CFD and airflow optimization, equipment selection, sustainability initiatives, compliance with ASHRAE, ISO, and other standards, client and cross-functional coordination, and mentoring junior engineers. The position requires a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, at least 15 years of mechanical design experience with 10+ years in data centre projects, and full-cycle Indian data centre project experience.
