Description
GHD is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer for its Global Data Centre Design Team in the UAE. The role leads mechanical design for mission-critical and hyperscale data centres, including HVAC, chilled water, air distribution, heat rejection, cooling-system redundancy, thermal load assessment, energy efficiency, and integration with electrical, ICT, and other disciplines. The engineer will also manage technical reviews, budgets, schedules, client relationships, and mentor junior engineers. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or building services engineering, at least 10 years of relevant experience including 3 years in mission-critical or data centre projects, and proficiency with design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, IES, or CFD. The role is based in the office three days per week.
