Eaton is hiring a Lead Mechanical Engineer - Structural to lead the engineering execution of research and development programs for its data center portfolio. The role focuses on designing, analyzing, and modifying steel structural systems for data center white-space infrastructure, including containment systems, power distribution supports, cable management, cooling equipment supports, and modular assemblies. Responsibilities include structural calculations, load and deflection analysis, SAP2000 and FEA validation, retrofit and capacity-expansion assessments, and support for customer and regulatory design reviews. The position requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering and 8–12 years of experience in product design, structural engineering, or engineering mechanics.
