Description

The Lead Operating Engineer ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for a facility. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks, supervising staff, recommending improvements to maintenance programs, coordinating with external contractors, managing inventory, and responding to emergencies. The engineer compiles monthly reports for management and complies with safety regulations.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, graduate of an apprentice program or trade school.
Required Previous Experiences: 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Journeyman or Master Electrician License, City Licenses, Operators License, Steam Engineers License.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Basic computing skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience in operation, maintenance, and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.
Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques, and operations.
Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance, and repair.
