Description
SpaceX is hiring a Lead Process Safety Engineer for its Bastrop Environmental Health & Safety team to establish process safety parameters across advanced chemical systems and manufacturing processes. The role includes conducting process hazard analyses, evaluating overpressure and reaction hazards, overseeing factory and site acceptance testing, validating safety-critical instruments and interlocks during pre-startup safety reviews, and implementing a Process Safety Management program. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree in process safety or chemical engineering and at least five years of experience designing and commissioning chemical systems; the position is not remote or hybrid, requires relocation to the Bastrop, Texas area, and may require extended hours and weekends.
