Mattel Brick Shop is hiring a Lead Product Development Engineer in Monterey to lead engineering development of construction toy products from concept through production launch. The role coordinates cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners; owns engineering and final engineering pilot builds; manages prototypes and production samples; reviews engineering documentation and bills of materials; supports tooling, mold qualification, and production readiness; resolves technical issues; and mentors junior engineers. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, at least five years of product engineering or building-set development experience, knowledge of plastic part design and injection molding, strong project and communication skills, CAD and Microsoft Office proficiency, English and Spanish fluency, and willingness to travel internationally, including Asia.
