ALST, part of Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions (IMS), is seeking a Lead, Project Engineer to manage multiple development efforts, ensuring timely task completion and meeting customer requirements within budget and schedule. The role involves leading technical proposals, overseeing project costs and schedules, managing risks, coordinating production transitions, and providing recommendations for operational efficiency improvements.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of Project Engineering experience in a DoD environment
6+ years’ experience writing technical documentation and developing analysis reports.
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) in a DoD environment
Prior project engineering experience on at least two programs with at least one program being a medium scale complex system or subsystem (greater than 5 Systems Engineers or $15M)
Preferred Qualifications: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong project management skills and willingness to take on project ownership and accountability.
Ability to work in fast paced, small team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within and outside of the organization with customers, vendors and leadership with minimal oversight.
Ability to effectively communicate and transfer system architecture and design knowledge with other disciplines including software and hardware engineering, manufacturing, program management, suppliers and customers.
Experience writing BOE’s and supporting proposals.
Able to provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to junior engineers supporting engineering analysis, architecture, trade studies and continuous improvement.
Support hands-on integration and testing of complex subsystems across all interfaces.
Action and result oriented.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Skilled in estimating resource and material needs for the project/product.
