Nitro is hiring a Lead R&D Engineer to help a small, highly autonomous team rapidly prototype and iterate on experimental AI-powered document workflow solutions. The role focuses on building proof-of-concept web and desktop applications, AI assistants, intelligent document processing, workflow automation, MCP servers, and cloud AI services integrated with Nitro’s API platform and products. The ideal candidate has strong full-stack development skills, hands-on experience shipping AI/LLM applications, fluency in modern AI development patterns, cloud-native deployment experience, and the ability to lead technically while remaining deeply hands-on in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
