Description
Atoms is hiring a Safety Case Lead to own a defined scope of the safety case end-to-end, from drafting through sign-off and continuous governance. The role leads safety argument boundaries, evidence sufficiency, formal reviews, hazard analysis and validation, data provenance, safety standards, risk metrics, and AI-assisted safety workflows. It requires 9+ years of cross-functional experience across functional safety, autonomous behavior, and fleet operations, with production-system safety-argument authorship and mastery of methods such as HARA, FMEA, FTA, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, UL 4600, and SAE J3016. The role is onsite in San Francisco and offers a base salary of $182,000–$230,000 per year plus potential equity and performance-based bonus.
