Lockheed Martin is hiring a Lead SDR Engineer (Software Defined Radio) for its multi-discipline EW capability development team at the Gloucester site. The role leads SDR firmware and application development, platform and API work, RF test and release activities, and technical leadership, while collaborating with system, cyber, and intelligence teams. It requires significant experience in RF communications, software-defined radio, firmware, systems integration, and related SDR technologies, with eDV security clearance obtainable and maintained. Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Significant experience in RF communications and software-defined radio technologies and architectures, low-level firmware, and systems integration
Experience in EW or SIGINT capability development, including RF waveform and protocol vulnerability analysis
Experience with commercial and military communications stacks and modem development
Experience with OpenCPI, GnuRadio, Python, C/C++, VHDL, and other SDR development technologies
Preferred Qualifications: RF algorithm development, signal analysis, and digital signal processing
Radio characterisation, front-end device design, antenna selection, and link-budget optimisation
FPGA/RFSOC development and VHDL or Verilog proficiency
Embedded Linux, real-time operating systems, and platform development
AWS, infrastructure-as-code, Git, CICD pipelines, secure development, and mixed-security software development
Leading technical projects, budgets, and teams
